About the Role

We require enthusiastic and flexible Clinical Support Workers to join our Theatre team at the Royal Stoke site of the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. Here we specialise in Both elective and emergency General Surgery, Plastics, Maxilla Facial, ENT and Paediatric Surgery.

Important Information

To ensure clarity of accountability, scope of practice and professional responsibilities, the Trust does not normally appoint individuals holding active NMC or HCPC registration into Band 2 Clinical/AHP Support Worker, Band 3 Senior Clinical/AHP Support Worker or Band 4 AHP Support Worker/Technician roles. Registered nurses and Allied Health Professionals interested in joining UHNM are encouraged to explore our registered professional opportunities, which are advertised regularly across the Trust.

We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Workers to join our dynamic, friendly teams and provide safe, supportive care to patients, relatives and their loved ones. In this post you would be responsible for providing fundamental elements of patient care as directed by the qualified nursing team to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of dignified and respectful care, in accordance with their care plans. We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.

Requirements

  • A level 2 qualification in both Maths and English.

Working Conditions

The successful applicants will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital but may be required to work at County Hospital in Stafford. As provision of care is a 24 hours, 7 days a week career, you will be required to work shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Enhancements will be paid for unsocial hours.
