Clinical System Lead

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster.

As a values-driven organisation, integrity, collaboration, agility, and inclusion are at the heart of how we work and interact with each other, customers, patients and suppliers.

As a Clinical System Lead at ICON, you will support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of clinical systems used in clinical research. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early career professional looking to build a career in clinical technology, data systems, and clinical trial operations within a global healthcare environment.

What You Will Do:

You will work closely with experienced team members to support clinical systems that enable the successful delivery of clinical trials. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of clinical trial systems, including Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).
  • Supporting stakeholders and end users with system-related queries, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems where appropriate.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand study requirements and support system setup activities.
  • Assisting with system upgrades, enhancements, user acceptance testing, and documentation activities.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of system processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Monitoring system performance and helping ensure clinical data is managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to build technical and clinical systems expertise.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
