Acorns Children's Hospice: Clinical Systems & Data Analyst

Acorns Children's Hospice are looking for a Clinical Systems & Data Analyst to maximise the value of our clinical systems and data to support high-quality care. You will work closely with the Senior Data and Clinical Systems Lead to develop and optimise the management of SystmOne and other systems, ensuring the needs of the clinical and operational services are met.

About The Role

At Acorns Children’s Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care for children, and young people with life-limiting and life‑threatening conditions, and we support their families through every step of their journey, and through transition. Our work is defined by compassion, expertise, and an unwavering belief that every child deserves comfort, dignity, and the chance to experience joy.

As a Clinical Systems & Data Analyst You Will

  • Analyse and report on clinical and operational data, producing clear reports, dashboards and insights that help teams monitor performance, identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Support and develop our clinical systems, including SystmOne, helping to configure and test improvements, troubleshoot issues and identify ways to improve processes, data capture and the user experience.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and governance, supporting accurate and consistent record keeping, performance monitoring, regulatory reporting and compliance with information governance requirements.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Acorns, providing training and system support, understanding their data and digital needs, and using your expertise to support continuous improvement across our services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
