Clinical Trial Assistant

Your attention to detail and organisational expertise will help bring life-changing treatments from clinical trials to the patients who need them most.
Your New Role
As a Clinical Trial Assistant within the UK Clinical Development Centre, you will provide essential administrative support to the clinical operations and trial management teams. You will be a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clinical trials run smoothly and compliantly from set-up through to completion.
Day-to-Day Tasks
- Setting up and maintaining clinical trial information including site details, supplies, critical documents, and site files, enabling the Clinical Research team to achieve study milestones in compliance with SOPs
- Ensuring timely document approval, filing, and archiving of trial-related documents in the Trial Master File
- Managing clinical trial site payments, including checking and reconciling invoice requests, handling payments, tracking spend, and reporting status to the trial manager
- Handling external and internal enquiries and liaising closely with Trial Managers, CRAs, and other CTAs to ensure successful delivery of clinical trials
Your New Department
As part of Global Trial Portfolio (GTP), you will join one of our largest operational units. Within GTP, you will join the UK Clinical Development Centre (CDC) – the team responsible for delivering Novo Nordisk's clinical trial portfolio in the UK. We work in close partnership with global Trial Squads, local Trial Squads, investigators, and other clinical trial site staff to ensure trials are executed to the highest quality, on time, and in full compliance. Here, your work will directly shape the evidence that brings new treatments to patients.

Your Skills & Qualifications
We're looking for a Clinical Trial Assistant who is quality driven and thrives in a busy unit, excelling in organisation and stakeholder collaboration. You'll bring with you:
- Education to at least GCSE level or equivalent, preferably with a formal administrative qualification (A level or equivalent likely)
- Previous administrative experience in a busy working environment; experience working in clinical trials is preferable
- Excellent communication skills and a high degree of flexibility, with the ability to work successfully as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint) and strong digital skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of the clinical trials environment including ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and drug development processes is desirable
