An exciting opportunity within the Neuroscience Theme of the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU)
This role offers the chance to contribute to a diverse and innovative portfolio of clinical trials and studies in neuroscience and neurodegenerative brain diseases, including Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, head injury, multiple sclerosis, hearing loss, mitochondrial disorders, and other rare neurogenetic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate clinical trials and studies under the Neuroscience Theme, supporting protocol development, regulatory and ethics submissions, funding applications, and grant management.
- Focus on a new multi-centre trial relating to hearing loss, collaborating with teams across the University, Addenbrooke's hospital, and other stakeholders, including academic and commercial partners.
- Facilitate and coordinate the set-up and conduct of clinical trials and/or studies, including clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs), in accordance with ICH-GCP, NHS Research Governance, and the EU Directive on Clinical Trials.
- Oversee the progress of work and manage relationships with internal and external collaborators and stakeholders, suppliers, and funders, including academic and commercial partners.
- Facilitate and coordinate the set-up and conduct of national and international clinical trials and/or clinical studies working closely with various Chief Investigators and their teams.

Additional Information
- Encouraged to pursue relevant training and support patient and public involvement/engagement (PPIE) activities, potentially in partnership with patient organisations.
- Opportunities for involvement in other department activities, such as equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives are also available, if of interest to the role holder.
