Exciting Opportunity at Whittington Health
This is an exciting opportunity to join Whittington Health and contribute to the provision of a community pain service in Haringey. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled clinical or counselling psychologist with a keen interest in pain management to take on this role.
About the Role
The post holder will join a multidisciplinary pain team that includes:
- Pain Consultants
- Pain Psychologists
- Advanced Practice Physiotherapists
- Pain Management Physiotherapists
- Service manager
- Administrative staff
The post involves close working with MDT members to provide holistic care to treat persistent pain in a community setting. Strong communication and team-working skills are essential. The post holder will ideally have some post-qualification clinical and consulting experience in the area of physical health care (including chronic health conditions) and with self-management groups. The successful candidate will be offering evidence-based pain psychology assessments and interventions for persistent pain patients.

Supervision and CPD
The post holder will be supervised by the lead clinical psychologist and will have access to Whittington Health CPD for mental health professionals. We also have close links with our neighbouring pain psychology team, Whittington secondary care pain team for network meetings and CPD.
