Make-Up Artist – Prestige Beauty Retail

As we seek dynamic and skilled make-up artists who can blend creativity, technical expertise, and a genuine passion for enhancing clients’ experiences, you’ll play a pivotal role in elevating our in-store service.

You’ll create a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized make-up experience that educates and delights customers, while ensuring our stores stand out through exceptional visual merchandising and impactful in-store events. Collaboration with a high-performing team will be key to maintaining our prestige standards and excelling in a fast-paced retail environment.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering personalized, high-end make-up consultations and services in-store, fostering customer trust and satisfaction.
  • Working closely with the retail team to host engaging in-store events and support brand activations.
  • Maintaining visual merchandising standards, ensuring product displays are displays are creative and aligned with brand values.
  • Utilizing POS software for sales processing, inventory management, and customer data—streamlining the retail experience.
  • Adapting to physical demands, including standing for prolonged periods, working evenings, weekends, and during peak periods.

Requirements

To join our team, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Prerequisite qualifications or experience are preferred:
    • A qualification in make-up artistry (or equivalent recognised training)
    • Previous experience in retail make-up application (in-store or beauty franchise preferred)
    • Proof of amateur-level expertise that demonstrates high creativity and technical skill (portfolio or examples to be supplied)

  • Customer service excellence:

    • A proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and thoughtful customer service—building lasting rapport.
  • Retail adaptability:

    • Willingness to work retail hours, including all days, nights, weekends, and major events.

  • POS/Retail technical skills:

    • Experience using retail POS software for transactions, promotions, and inventory updates.
  • Work eligibility:
