CLO Operations Analyst

We are seeking a CLO Operations Analyst to join the Investment Operations team within a leading, independent financial services firm. This role will support the operational management of leveraged loans and CLOs, ensuring accurate and timely execution, settlement, servicing, reconciliation and reporting.

Working closely with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Treasury, Legal, Risk, Finance and external service providers, you will support the end-to-end lifecycle of syndicated loans, CLO warehouses and CLO vehicles, while helping maintain strong controls and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage syndicated loan operations from trade execution through settlement and ongoing servicing.
  • Monitor settlement pipelines, ageing trades and exceptions, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Support CLO warehouses, issuances, resets and restructurings.
  • Oversee CLO cashflows, payment dates, trustee reporting and operational deliverables.
  • Reconcile loan positions, cashflows and income payments, investigating and resolving breaks.
  • Oversee outsourced providers including administrators, trustees, custodians and valuation providers.
  • Monitor SLA performance, MI, KPIs and KRIs, escalating incidents where required.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, service providers and counterparties.
  • Support new CLOs and investment structures, operational readiness and change initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate procedures, controls and operational documentation.
  • Contribute to a strong risk and control environment and deliver excellent internal client service.

About You:

  • Ideally 3 years' experience in Loan Operations and Processing, or around 5 years' relevant Asset Management experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products, with knowledge of syndicated loans and CLOs desirable.
  • Experience with an Order Management System such as Sentry, Allvue or an equivalent platform.
  • Familiarity with ClearPar and WSO would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel VBA knowledge desirable.
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • CFA, IMC or equivalent qualification desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, proactive and customer-focused, with a genuine desire to develop a career in CLO and investment operations.
