Role Description

This is a temporary, on-site Close Protection Operative role based in England, United Kingdom. The Close Protection Operative will provide professional personal security to designated individuals, including monitoring surroundings, assessing risks, and implementing protective measures throughout daily movements and engagements.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Conducting threat assessments
  • Planning secure routes
  • Coordinating with local security and venue staff
  • Maintaining constant situational awareness

The role involves managing access control, escorting clients between locations, and responding effectively to emerging safety concerns or incidents, always prioritizing discretion and confidentiality. The operative will also maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders, produce concise incident or shift reports, and ensure compliance with local laws and organizational protocols.

Qualifications

  • Physical Security skills: including risk assessment, personal protection techniques, and situational awareness.
  • Communication skills: including clear verbal communication, accurate reporting, and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Customer Service skills: demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and a client-focused approach.
  • Training experience: such as prior security or protection training, and the ability to follow and apply security procedures.
  • Sales or relationship-building skills: to support positive client interactions and represent the organization professionally.

Beneficial qualifications:

  • Recognized close protection certification
  • Security or law enforcement background
  • Military experience
