Role Description
This is a contract Clothing Technologist role based in Warrington with a hybrid working arrangement x2 days per week, allowing some work from home.
The Clothing Technologist will oversee garment development from initial concept through to production, ensuring designs are translated into well-constructed, commercially viable products. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Reviewing technical specifications
- Advising on fabric and trim selection
- Managing size charts

- Ensuring garments meet fit, performance, and safety standards

The role involves implementing and monitoring quality control processes, liaising with designers, buyers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues, and updating documentation such as tech packs and measurement charts. The Clothing Technologist will also support continuous improvement in construction methods and manufacturing processes to maintain consistent product quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Garment Construction and Fitting, with the ability to translate design concepts into accurate patterns and technically sound garments.
- Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, performance, and suitability for different garment types and end uses.
- Experience in Quality Control, ensuring garments meet agreed standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with designers, production teams, and suppliers, and for clear documentation of technical information.
- Experience working as a clothing or garment technologist, or in a related technical fashion role.
- Ability to analyze measurements, conduct fit sessions, and provide clear feedback and solutions to improve fit and construction.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel for measurement charts; any CAD or pattern systems is an advantage).
- A qualification in Fashion Technology, Clothing Technology, Textiles, or a related discipline is preferred.
