The Company:
Our client is a well-established, fast-paced fashion supplier based in central Manchester, providing high-quality, on-trend styles to leading fast-fashion brands. They are looking to recruit a Part-Time Garment Technologist to join their friendly and dynamic team.
The Role:
- Measuring and checking garments when they arrive.
- Sending clear and concise comments to factories.
- Ensuring lab dips, sealers, fit samples, production samples and lab tests are chased and received on time, keeping critical path and delivery dates on track.
- Working closely with the Design Team throughout the product development stage for each garment at the start of each season.
- Creating and maintaining technical packs.
- Attending fit sessions and developing accurate size charts.
- Arranging production, pre-production QC checks and garment grading.
- Ensuring garments are produced to the required quality standards.
- Approving fabrics, test reports and inspection reports.
- Promoting continuous improvements in quality and performance.
- Building strong and professional relationships with factories, suppliers and internal teams.
- Chinese language skills are essential, with the ability to communicate confidently with Chinese-speaking factories and suppliers.

Skills & Experience Required:
- Fashion Technology Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar Garment Technologist role, ideally working across ladies' or men's multi-product ranges.
- Strong Chinese language skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple deadlines.
