Job Title: ROSA Administrator
Location: United Kingdom (Remote)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ROSA Administrator to manage and support Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA) environments on a 12 month contract, fully remote. You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting of OpenShift clusters running on AWS. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AWS, along with a good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, automation, and containerized application platforms.
Key Responsibilities
ROSA / OpenShift Administration
- Administer and maintain ROSA clusters across development, test, and production environments
- Configure and manage projects, namespaces, nodes, machine pools, and workloads
- Manage Operators, Routes, Services, Deployments, ConfigMaps, and Secrets
- Perform cluster health checks, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Support OpenShift and ROSA version upgrades and patching
- Manage cluster capacity, scaling, and resource utilization
- Troubleshoot application, pod, node, and cluster-level issues
AWS Cloud Administration
- Manage AWS resources supporting ROSA environments
- Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups
- Manage IAM roles, policies, and permissions associated with ROSA
- Work with EC2, EBS, Load Balancers, Route 53, and CloudWatch
- Support integration between OpenShift workloads and AWS-native services
- Ensure AWS infrastructure follows organizational security and architecture standards

Security & Access Management
- Implement and maintain OpenShift RBAC
- Manage users, groups, service accounts, and permissions
- Support integration with enterprise identity providers
- Implement security controls for containers, workloads, and cluster resources
- Manage secrets, certificates, and secure application configurations
- Ensure compliance with corporate cloud and security policies
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor cluster and application health and performance
- Analyze OpenShift and application logs
- Troubleshoot networking, storage, CPU, memory, and application issues
- Work with development, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve incidents
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
Automation & DevOps
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code
- Develop and maintain automation using Terraform, Ansible, and/or Bash
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Promote Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices where appropriate
- Contribute to improvements in platform reliability and operational efficiency
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience administering Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Practical experience with ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS)
- Strong AWS administration experience
- Good understanding of AWS networking and IAM
- Experience with OpenShift CLI (oc) and Kubernetes CLI (kubectl)
- Strong Linux/RHEL administration skills
- Experience troubleshooting containerized applications
- Knowledge of OpenShift RBAC, networking, storage, and security
- Experience with monitoring and logging in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments

Desirable Skills
- Terraform, Ansible, Git/GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms
- AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Helm, Argo CD/OpenShift GitOps, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM), AWS EKS, Service Mesh
Desirable Certifications
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
- RHCSA, RHCE
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Experience
- 5+ years in Linux/cloud infrastructure administration
- 3+ years hands-on Kubernetes/OpenShift administration
- 2+ years AWS cloud experience
- Practical experience supporting enterprise production environments
- ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management experience is desirable
