Responsibilities
- Design cloud architectures on AWS that align with enterprise standards and translate complex business requirements into reliable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions that scale with future growth needs.
- Implement robust data processing workflows using AWS Data Pipeline and related services to ensure timely, accurate, and resilient data movement across diverse enterprise systems.
- Configure and maintain Amazon ECR repositories to support secure container image storage, version control, and efficient deployment workflows for microservice-based applications.
- Set up and tune AWS Shield and complementary security controls to protect internet-facing workloads from distributed threats while supporting compliance objectives and risk management practices.
- Develop and manage autoscaling strategies using AWS Autoscaling to maintain application performance under varying loads while minimizing unnecessary resource consumption.

- Leverage AWS Systems Manager to standardize configuration management, patch automation, and operational insights, enabling consistent fleet management across hybrid environments.
- Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters with AWS EKS to run containerized workloads with strong security, scalability, and observability, supporting continuous delivery pipelines.
- Coordinate deployment of certificates using AWS Certificate Manager to enable encrypted communication, enforce security best practices, and simplify certificate lifecycle operations.
- Apply AWS CLI in daily operations to script repeatable tasks, enforce infrastructure standards, and accelerate troubleshooting across multiple cloud accounts and regions.
- Optimize distributed caching strategies with AWS Elastic Cache to reduce latency, enhance application responsiveness, and support high throughput transaction and analytics workloads.
- Use AWS App Discovery Service and AWS Migration Evaluator to assess current environments, estimate costs, and shape migration roadmaps that reduce risk and improve return on investment.
- Employ AWS Control Tower, AWS MGN, AWS Migration Hub, and AWS DMS to plan, execute, and track application and data migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and reliable cutover for stakeholders.
- Integrate identity and access management using AWS ADFS and AWS Networking capabilities to deliver secure, segmented, and resilient connectivity across hybrid and multi-account landscapes that support hybrid work models.
- Document architecture decisions, operational runbooks, and standards clearly to enable efficient knowledge sharing among teams working in a hybrid model with a day shift schedule.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
