About The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Cloud Architect positions based in Manchester. Roles of this type could involve designing and deploying enterprise cloud solutions, working across multi-cloud environments and helping organisations transition to modern, scalable infrastructure. You could collaborate with engineering teams, solution designers and business stakeholders to architect solutions that balance technical excellence with business objectives, while supporting the adoption of cloud-native patterns and best practices.

- Rate: £700–800 per day
- Domain: Cloud infrastructure and solutions architecture
What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Designing enterprise cloud solutions across Azure, AWS and GCP, tailored to business requirements and scalability needs
- Architecting microservices and distributed systems, with consideration for resilience, performance and cost optimisation
- Leading cloud infrastructure decisions, including containerisation strategies using Kubernetes and Docker
- Defining and implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code approaches using Terraform and automation tools
- Supporting integration of enterprise systems, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC migrations to cloud environments
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
- Advising on cloud security, compliance and data governance frameworks
- Mentoring technical teams on cloud architecture principles and best practices

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
Must-have
- Demonstrable experience architecting and deploying solutions on at least two major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, APIs and containerisation technologies
- Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with at least one backend technology stack (such as .NET/ASP.NET, Java/Spring Boot or Python)
- Solid grasp of SQL, data pipelines and data quality considerations
- Understanding of network architecture, including DMZ configurations and security principles
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent
Nice-to-have
- Experience with SAP cloud solutions or SAP RISE implementations
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React
- Knowledge of business process modelling (BPMN) or UML
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Linux and Windows system administration experience
