Senior Cloud Architect

£130,000 – £150,000 | Fully Remote | Ad Hoc International Travel

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to join our Technology function and take a leading role in designing, delivering and shaping cloud and infrastructure solutions across a large-scale enterprise environment.

This is a highly technical role suited to an Architect who can operate across AWS, Azure, infrastructure, networking, security and hybrid cloud, while also providing technical leadership across complex projects and initiatives.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing and delivering scalable, secure and resilient cloud solutions across AWS and Azure.
  • Developing cloud architectures, reference architectures, technical standards and technology roadmaps.
  • Leading cloud and infrastructure technology selection and vendor evaluations.
  • Providing senior technical leadership across complex projects and initiatives.
  • Acting as a technical SME and trusted advisor to engineering and technology teams.
  • Supporting complex escalations and working with technology vendors and consultants.
  • Ensuring effective transition of solutions into operational environments through documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Designing and improving hybrid cloud connectivity, IAM, landing zones, monitoring and security.

Technical Expertise

We’re looking for strong experience across:

  • AWS & Azure cloud architecture and design
  • IAM, landing zones and hybrid connectivity
  • Nutanix / hyperconverged infrastructure
  • Enterprise networking, routing, switching and packet analysis
  • Cloud and infrastructure security, encryption and best practices
  • NAS, SAN and virtualised storage
  • PowerShell and scripting
  • Monitoring and observability of mission-critical environments
  • Enterprise-scale architecture, standards and technology roadmaps

About You

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • 15+ years’ experience in IT, with significant engineering and architecture experience.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering solutions within large enterprise environments.
  • A strong track record of leading technical projects and influencing engineering teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commercial, business-focused mindset alongside strong technical expertise.
  • A genuine interest in learning and adopting new technologies.

Package & Location

£130,000 – £150,000

Fully Remote – UK

Ad Hoc international travel, particularly to the US
