GCP Cloud Architect (Banking)

Location: London (Hybrid – 1–2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £90,000 – £100,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We're partnering with a leading global technology consultancy that's continuing to invest heavily in its Cloud Engineering and Financial Services practice. As part of this growth, we're looking for an experienced GCP Cloud Architect to join a team delivering large-scale cloud transformation programmes for major banking clients.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-scale cloud platforms, helping to design secure, scalable, and automated cloud environments that support critical banking services. You'll collaborate with architects, engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to define cloud strategy and implement best practices across modern cloud-native environments.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the design and delivery of cloud architecture solutions across Google Cloud Platform, while also leveraging Azure where required.
  • Responsible for designing enterprise Landing Zones, developing Infrastructure as Code solutions, establishing cloud governance standards, and supporting the adoption of modern DevOps practices.
  • Work within highly regulated financial services environments, helping shape cloud strategy, improve platform resilience, and ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
