Role Description
The Cloud Architecture Consultant is a full-time on-site role based in Rugby. This role is responsible for designing, documenting, and implementing cloud architectures that align with client objectives, performance requirements, and security standards. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Assessing existing infrastructure
- Defining migration and modernization strategies
- Coordinating with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions

The consultant will:
- Prepare technical proposals
- Conduct architectural reviews
- Guide development and operations teams through best practices for deployment, integration, and ongoing optimization
The role also involves:
- Monitoring solution performance
- Identifying improvement opportunities
- Providing clear guidance and training to client teams on cloud tools and processes
Qualifications
- Cloud architecture and infrastructure design skills, including experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
- Solution design and integration skills, covering microservices, APIs, networking, storage, and security controls within cloud ecosystems.
- Migration and modernization skills, such as assessing legacy environments, planning cloud adoption roadmaps, and leading implementation or re-platforming projects.
- Governance, security, and compliance skills, including knowledge of identity and access management, data protection, and relevant industry standards.
- Technical communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business leaders, in a consulting or client-facing context.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on performance optimization, cost management, and reliability in cloud environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect) are highly beneficial.
