About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Bookkeeper to join a growing accountancy practice located near Keighley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment, managing a diverse portfolio of small business clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of cloud-based accounting systems. Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within an accountancy practice or similar environment
- Proficiency in cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Sage
- A good understanding of VAT, payroll, and general bookkeeping principles
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
- A relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping, such as AAT or equivalent (desirable but not mandatory)
Responsibilities
- Managing a varied portfolio of small business clients’ bookkeeping needs using cloud-based software
- Processing supplier invoices, customer receipts, and bank transactions efficiently and accurately
- Reconciling accounts and ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with current regulations
- Preparing VAT returns and other statutory reports in a timely manner
- Supporting clients with financial queries and providing guidance on best bookkeeping practices
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements as required
- Maintaining organized and comprehensive records to facilitate audit processes and compliance checks
- Collaborating with the wider team to improve internal processes and enhance client service delivery
