Role Description
The Cloud Business Architect is an enterprise strategist who aligns MSN’s business goals and offering strategy with cloud computing capabilities, for MSN.
The role bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution by designing high-level cloud adoption roadmaps, optimising operating models for cloud-based delivery, and ensuring that cloud investments drive clear financial and strategic value.
Role Responsibilities
- Acts as enterprise strategist and architect bridging MSN business goals with cloud computing capabilities and cost/benefit models
- Interacts closely with SDAP Platform and Integration teams to define and evolve solutions to meet our customer and delivery needs
- Designs high-level cloud adoption and modernization roadmaps for MSN including:
- Landing-zone patterns, connectivity and data residency for network intelligence platforms.
- Migration and coexistence strategies for legacy tools and platforms.
- Standard platform capabilities (data pipelines, AI/ML, automation, observability, security)
- Architectural principles and target architecture for MSN tools and platforms
- Optimizes MSN operating models for cloud-based delivery, ensuring cloud investments drive clear financial and strategic value
- Works with sales and solution teams to incorporate cloud and intelligence architecture into customer proposals and solutions
- Provides guidance on cost optimization, scalability and resilience for MSN deployments
- Collaborate with Business Development Team and AI Innovation to ensure portfolio offerings are aligned with EOE operating model, MSDP capabilities and ANO roadmap.
- Collaborate with Business Development Team to monetize EOE, MSDP and ANO capabilities through development of new Value Packs, while ensuring Value Packs are technically feasible and aligned with platform strategies
- Research activities for future evolution of the systems & tools within the MSDP eco-system
- Coordinates with delivery and regions to ensure the platform roadmap addresses real operational & commercial needs and supports reuse of AI/automation patterns across deals

Role Authority
- Recommend cloud architecture patterns and best practices for MSN deployments
- Request necessary information from platform, delivery and finance teams to perform analyses and develop recommendations
- Raise risks and opportunities related to cloud usage to MSN leadership and relevant governance forums
- Propose platform standards and investment priorities for MSN, for decision in appropriate forums
- Recommend adoption or retirement of specific tools and platforms within the MSN scope
- Recommend acceptance or deferral of proposed deviations from tool / platforms standards
Required Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Education: University degree in engineering, business, economics or equivalent.
- Experience: Typically 10+ years in managed services, portfolio management, product management or commercial management; proven leadership experience.
- Skills: Strong business and financial acumen; deep understanding of managed services operations; portfolio and product management capabilities; stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- A good demonstrated working knowledge of the Ericsson Operations Engine
- Industry event experience and public speaking
- Knowledge of the BCSS business development process for Product Management
- Adept at using AI for workplace-based productivity

Working Arrangements
- Office-based for a minimum of 60% of the working week. Travel is expected in the range of 25% on average, but can rise to around 50% based upon business need. If not based in the UK, a minimum of one week in four will be based in the UK.
