Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Data Architect with deep expertise in Modern Data Platforms, Cloud Data Engineering, and Enterprise Data Architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that enable business intelligence, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud-native data ecosystems, modern data engineering practices, and enterprise integration while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud data architectures aligned with business objectives.
- Architect end-to-end data solutions covering data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption.
- Design and optimize scalable data lakes, lakehouses, and cloud data warehouse solutions.
- Develop cloud migration strategies for legacy data platforms.
- Build robust batch and real-time data processing architectures.
- Define enterprise data modelling standards and architecture best practices.
- Establish data governance, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
- Design high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend modern cloud data technologies and architecture patterns.
- Ensure data platforms are highly available, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient.
- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.
- Perform architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Data Solutions.
- Strong expertise in designing cloud-native data platforms and enterprise data architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or BigQuery.
- Expertise in Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Warehousing, and Data Modelling.
- Experience designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, dbt, or Informatica.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Kafka.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, cloud integration, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience implementing Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Master Data Management (MDM).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Exposure to AI/ML data platforms, GenAI, Data Mesh, or Data Fabric is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Databricks Certified Professional, or Snowflake Certification are highly preferred.
