Position Description

Help build and evolve the cloud environments that enable CGI’s clients to transform how they operate. As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll deliver and support private, public and hybrid cloud solutions across leading platforms, using automation and modern engineering approaches to create reliable, scalable services. You’ll take ownership of technical challenges, contribute ideas that improve how we deliver and work alongside experienced colleagues across a diverse range of client engagements. With opportunities to broaden your cloud expertise and develop your career, you’ll be part of a growing, collaborative team where you can experiment with new approaches, share your knowledge and see the impact of your work.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will help deliver, develop and support private, public and hybrid cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, OCI and GCP environments. You’ll take responsibility for technical activities across multiple client engagements, contribute to CGI’s Global Hybrid Cloud management platform and provide high-quality support to clients and internal teams.

You’ll also have opportunities to find creative ways to improve cloud operations through scripting, automation and repeatable deployment approaches. Working alongside supportive cloud engineering colleagues, you’ll contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle while developing your technical expertise and helping clients achieve successful outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
