Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hampshire – Hybrid, with office visits roughly twice per month

Up to £70,000 DOE + Holiday + Pension

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with Microsoft Azure, networking, and on-premise experience to join a major technology transformation programme, with the opportunity to take ownership of key infrastructure projects and make a genuine impact across the wider technology environment.

The company are continuing to invest heavily in their infrastructure estate, with a focus on cloud, networking, and security. As part of this ongoing programme, they are looking for an experienced engineer who can help deliver a resilient, scalable environment whilst bringing a practical approach to technical decision-making.

In this role you will work across Azure, networking, and on-premise infrastructure, supporting the delivery of a number of high-profile technology initiatives. You will work alongside an external consultancy, providing technical oversight, reviewing proposed solutions, and taking ownership of implementation across cloud migration, infrastructure enhancement, and network projects.

The candidate will have a strong background across Microsoft Azure, networking, and on-premise infrastructure, with experience delivering complex infrastructure projects. You will be comfortable working autonomously, balancing multiple priorities, and making sound technical decisions with the wider business in mind.

The Role:

  • Take ownership of cloud and infrastructure projects across Azure and on-premise environments
  • Deliver cloud migration, modernisation, and network improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical oversight of recommendations and solutions from external consultancy partners
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing infrastructure, processes, and technical standards

The Person:

  • Experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a strong Microsoft technology background
  • Proven experience across Azure, networking, and on-premise infrastructure
  • Track record of delivering cloud migration and wider infrastructure projects
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of technical decisions
  • Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and suggest improvements
