Job Title
£450 per day | Outside IR35 | London office 1–2 days per month
My client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, build and operate AI-powered automation solutions. You will work alongside five colleagues at the intersection of cloud engineering, enterprise data and artificial intelligence, using AWS services and large language models to improve business processes and support better decision-making.
Key Responsibilities of the Cloud Engineer
- Design and deploy cloud-native automation solutions using agentic AI and generative AI technologies.
- Build applications with AWS Bedrock and related AWS services.
- Develop intelligent workflows and autonomous agents to automate business and operational processes.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data platforms, including Teradata.
- Build scalable Python services, APIs and automation tools.
- Use Datadog to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and improve observability.
- Work with data engineering teams to provide secure access to enterprise data.
- Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, cost-effective and aligned with cloud governance standards.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical standards and continuous improvement.

Required Experience of the Cloud Engineer
- Experience as a Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience, including building generative AI solutions with AWS Bedrock.
- Strong Python development skills, including APIs and automation.
- Experience working with Teradata in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog for monitoring and observability.
- Experience designing cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and DevOps practices.
- A sound understanding of cloud security, identity management and operational best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
