About The Role
We are seeking experienced Cloud Engineers to join CGI’s Space, Defence, and Intelligence business unit. This team specializes in delivering cutting-edge, mission-critical technical solutions for government agencies facing complex challenges. As a Cloud Engineer, you will work within a cross-functional team, partnering with clients to define, guide, and ensure the successful delivery of integrated cloud solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on bespoke technologies in a highly rewarding environment, contributing to national security and safety initiatives. The position involves working primarily on-site at a secure client location, with occasional flexibility based on project needs, and requires candidates to hold or be eligible for high-level UK Security Clearance.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, including administration of Google Workspace and M365. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Deployment Manager, or ARM is essential. Candidates should possess strong Linux and Windows administration skills, along with software development experience in languages like Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, or C#. Containerization expertise using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, as well as knowledge of security protocols such as PKI and TLS, is required. Virtualization experience with KVM or VMware, a solid understanding of networking, and troubleshooting skills are also necessary. Certifications in cloud solutions (AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud, Azure) are highly desirable, along with familiarity with tools like Amazon Managed Grafana and JetBrains TeamCity.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms, ensuring security and compliance standards are met.
- Developing infrastructure templates using Infrastructure as Code.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and optimizing system performance.
- Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to contribute to the development of innovative solutions aligned with client requirements.
- Participating in security assessments and supporting deployment processes.
- Staying updated on emerging cloud technologies.
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs and translating those into scalable, reliable cloud architectures.
- Continuous learning and knowledge sharing to ensure the team remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
