Hiring: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Coventry, UK
Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite
Contract: Inside IR35
Rate: £450–£500 per day
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join a major cloud infrastructure programme based in Coventry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on AWS professional with strong experience in AWS infrastructure, cloud networking, Amazon EKS, secure connectivity, and infrastructure design and deployment.
You will work closely with architects and technical teams to design, build, configure, and validate secure and scalable AWS infrastructure supporting enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with solution and cloud architects to translate high-level designs into detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
- Design and implement AWS networking components, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, NACLs, and Transit Gateway (TGW).
- Define secure and scalable network-connectivity patterns for enterprise integrations.
- Design and provision AWS infrastructure in line with approved technical and network designs.
- Build and configure AWS accounts, networking components, and cloud infrastructure.
- Design, deploy, and support Amazon EKS clusters.
- Support the deployment of enterprise applications, including SAP AEM, onto Amazon EKS.
- Configure AWS connectivity components and ensure alignment with security and architecture standards.
- Perform end-to-end connectivity testing with integration endpoints.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, connectivity, and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with architects, application teams, security teams, and other technical stakeholders.

Core Skills and Experience
- Strong hands-on experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer, AWS Infrastructure Engineer, AWS Platform Engineer, Cloud Network Engineer, or Senior Cloud Engineer.
- Strong experience designing and deploying AWS infrastructure.
- Hands-on AWS networking experience, including:
- VPCs
- Subnets
- Route Tables
- Security Groups
- Network ACLs
- Transit Gateway (TGW)
- Experience designing secure network connectivity and integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
- Experience provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure.
- Experience creating or contributing to Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, network security, and access controls.
- Experience performing connectivity testing and resolving network-related issues.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Applicants should be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Coventry and able to work onsite 3 days per week.
