Cloud Engineer (Azure)
💰 £55,000 to £65,000 DOE + bonus
📍 Hybrid, ideally 1 day a week in London office, can be flexible here if further away.

This opportunity sits with a highly regarded Microsoft Partner known for delivering complex Azure and platform engineering projects across enterprise customers. The business has built its reputation on deep technical capability and a genuinely engineering led culture, where the quality of what you build actually matters and the people around you care about getting it right.
They are looking for an Azure Platform Engineer with strong platform engineering, DevOps and infrastructure as code expertise to join their delivery team. This is a team of people who enjoy the craft of engineering, who like to understand how things work under the hood, and who would rather build something properly than throw it together and move on.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy Azure platforms across greenfield and migration projects
- Deliver Azure landing zones and scalable cloud environments using best practice design
- Build and manage AKS environments as part of modern containerised architectures
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform for provisioning and automation
- Develop and maintain CI CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git based workflows
- Drive DevOps practices across engineering teams, improving release and deployment processes
- Implement monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor and related tooling
- Embed security best practice across environments, including Defender for Cloud and Azure Security Centre
- Contribute to internal tooling, reusable assets, and engineering standards

Ideal Experience
- Strong Azure engineering experience across build, deployment and migration projects
- Terraform is essential, with proven experience delivering infrastructure as code at scale
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI CD pipelines and Git based version control
- Hands on experience with containerisation and Kubernetes, ideally AKS
- Experience designing and deploying Azure landing zones
- Strong understanding of automation and provisioning within cloud environments
- Exposure to Azure security tooling including Defender for Cloud and Azure Security Centre
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or similar
Certifications (Desirable)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ 104)
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ 400)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ 305)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ 700)
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
