Cloud Engineer – eDV Cleared
Location: UK – Fully Remote
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: Up to £900 per day
Clearance: Active eDV Clearance Required
Start: ASAP
We are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with active eDV clearance to join a high-profile UK public sector programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically challenging environment, supporting secure and highly resilient cloud infrastructure within a national security-focused programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Support the deployment, configuration and management of cloud environments.
- Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code.
- Work closely with DevOps, Software Engineering and Security teams.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Ensure cloud environments meet stringent security, resilience and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to technical design and continuous improvement of the platform.

Key Skills & Experience
- Active eDV clearance – essential.
- Strong commercial experience as a Cloud Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer / DevOps Engineer.
- Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure.
- Infrastructure as Code – ideally Terraform.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, ideally Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with cloud networking, security and identity/access management.
- Scripting experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell.
- Experience working within UK Government, Defence or National Security environments is highly desirable.
