Cloud Engineer – eDV Cleared

Location: UK – Fully Remote
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: Up to £900 per day
Clearance: Active eDV Clearance Required
Start: ASAP

We are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with active eDV clearance to join a high-profile UK public sector programme.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically challenging environment, supporting secure and highly resilient cloud infrastructure within a national security-focused programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Support the deployment, configuration and management of cloud environments.
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Work closely with DevOps, Software Engineering and Security teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Ensure cloud environments meet stringent security, resilience and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to technical design and continuous improvement of the platform.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Active eDV clearance – essential.
  • Strong commercial experience as a Cloud Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer / DevOps Engineer.
  • Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Infrastructure as Code – ideally Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, ideally Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with cloud networking, security and identity/access management.
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience working within UK Government, Defence or National Security environments is highly desirable.
