We are working with a Leading Law Firm seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support, enhance and continuously improve their Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The role is focused on engineering, automation, security and operational excellence, supporting business-critical services across multiple international locations.
The Azure Cloud Engineer role is part of the Azure & Infrastructure Team and works closely with Identity & Messaging, Security and regional IT teams to ensure cloud services are secure, resilient, cost-effective and aligned with organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing L3 support across a broad range of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure IaaS, PaaS, Terraform, Containers, Subscription and Tenant Management, Azure DevOps and Azure Security.
- Building, maintaining and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to support evolving business requirements efficiently.
- Automating workflows and processes using Logic Apps, Azure Functions and other cloud-native tools.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting cloud performance, availability and reliability issues.
- Ensuring security and compliance standards are met through Azure Policies, role-based access controls and permissions management.
- Designing, maintaining and enhancing a portfolio of Terraform scripts to support changing business requirements.
- Implementing Azure infrastructure and services in line with established designs, standards and best practices.
- Participating in an on-call rota to support out-of-hours P1 major incidents.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Hands-on commercial experience in Azure administration or cloud engineering, ideally within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services and features, including Azure Management, Terraform, Containers, Private Endpoints, Azure networking (VNets, VPNs, Peering and Private Endpoints), Azure compute and storage services.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, GitHub or similar tools for version control and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and tools such as Azure Security Center and Azure Key Vault.
- Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert would be advantageous.
