About The Role
We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud & Python Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between application development and cloud infrastructure, owning the full lifecycle of data transformation applications. Your primary responsibility will be to develop clean, efficient Python code while designing and implementing robust AWS infrastructure to support seamless application deployment and operation. Working closely with our existing cloud engineering team, you will focus on building, modernizing, and deploying scalable data processing solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of ownership, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to deploy cost-efficient, high-performance AWS architectures capable of handling large-scale data processing tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python software development combined with hands-on experience deploying and managing AWS cloud infrastructure. Proven expertise in core AWS services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS, RDS, and EC2 is essential. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, is required to provision and manage scalable cloud environments effectively. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as AWS ECS is highly desirable. Candidates should possess a good understanding of data processing strategies, ETL pipelines, and handling high-volume data streams. A solid grasp of modern DevOps practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing, is necessary to ensure efficient and reliable deployment workflows. Additionally, familiarity with serverless architectures and a proactive approach to cost and performance optimization will set candidates apart.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient Python applications for real-time telematics and large-scale data transformation projects.
- Provision, manage, and scale secure AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency.
- Architect solutions with a focus on low latency, high throughput, and reliability, optimizing for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Deploy serverless and containerized workloads leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EC2, SQS, S3, and RDS.
- Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deploying cloud applications.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and performance tracking using AWS CloudWatch and X-Ray to ensure system stability and quick issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize existing applications and integrate new features seamlessly.
- Adhere to best practices in cloud security, data privacy, and compliance standards.
