About The Company

Lightfoot is a forward-thinking technology company dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that empower businesses to harness the full potential of data and cloud computing. Known for our commitment to excellence and customer-centric approach, we specialize in developing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based applications. Our team comprises passionate professionals who strive to push the boundaries of technology, ensuring our clients stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. At Lightfoot, we foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning, creativity, and growth, making us a preferred employer for talented individuals seeking to make a meaningful impact through technology.

About The Role

We are looking for a skilled AWS Cloud & Python Engineer to join our team, bridging the gap between application development and cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of data transformation applications - writing clean, efficient Python code and designing the AWS infrastructure required to run it seamlessly.

Working closely with our existing cloud engineers, you will focus on building, modernising, and deploying scalable data processing applications. The ideal candidate thrives on end-to-end ownership, using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to deploy cost-effective, high-performance AWS architectures that handle large-scale data efficiently.

If you are passionate about solving complex problems and eager to leverage the latest AWS technologies, we would love to hear from you!

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
