Azure Cloud Engineer

We're recruiting for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a highly independent technology team responsible for delivering critical digital services used across a nationally important sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys owning problems, driving technical decisions, and building secure, scalable cloud environments without layers of bureaucracy. You'll be trusted to take the lead on infrastructure, security, automation, and cloud best practices, playing a key role in shaping the organisation's future cloud strategy.

The Role

  • Design, build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code and automation initiatives
  • Enhance cloud security, governance and compliance
  • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitor, optimise and continually improve platform reliability and performance
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver robust, business-critical services

What We're Looking For

  • Strong hands-on Azure infrastructure experience
  • Experience with Terraform, Bicep, Ansible or similar IaC tools
  • CI/CD and automation expertise
  • Azure security and identity management knowledge
  • Linux administration experience
  • Background in cloud governance, monitoring and best practice
