Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Platform/Cloud/Infrastructure Engineering Manager with 3–5 years of management experience to lead the organisation's DevOps and platform engineering capability across people, technology, automation, cloud infrastructure, governance, and service performance.
- Own and drive the DevOps, Cloud and Platform Engineering strategy and roadmap, covering CI/CD, automation, cloud operations, and platform engineering.
- Lead and manage DevOps, Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering teams, including workload planning, mentoring, performance management, technical leadership, and delivery.
- Design, implement, and govern CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Oversee AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure and operations, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Lead Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using Terraform for automated and consistent infrastructure provisioning.
- Drive containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Manage development, test, staging, and production environments, ensuring availability, security, and correct configuration.
- Drive automation across builds, deployments, infrastructure provisioning, testing, and operational processes using PowerShell, Shell, Python, or equivalent scripting.
- Establish effective monitoring, logging, and observability for cloud, infrastructure, and IAM workloads.
- Oversee release and deployment management, ensuring reliable, repeatable, and controlled production releases.
- Own and optimise the platform engineering toolchain, including Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ensure strong Linux administration and cloud operations practices.
- Establish DevOps standards, governance, and best practices across CI/CD, automation, infrastructure, security, and environment management.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Development, Security, and Operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable platform capabilities.
