This role is based out of our New Bailey, Manchester, or One Braham London offices. We have a hybrid working model of 3 days together and 2 days wherever.
Due to the nature of the work, you will need to be eligible for security clearance+.
About The Role
Enterprise rely on Technology, and more specifically Secure Platforms, to underpin the services that they provide to their customers.
As a Cloud Engineering Practitioner, you will be accountable for designing, implementing, and optimising cloud solutions that align with organisational goals and industry best practices. This role requires strategic thinking and technical expertise. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud environments across multiple platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Executes the automation initiatives of cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, self-service, infrastructure-as-code services, auto scale initiatives, and DevOps deployment
- Maintains and operates platform components and tools according to DevOps model monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly
- Supports cloud leadership with key stakeholders to influence the adoption of cloud-native systems, by informing stakeholders on how to use platform capabilities effectively through appropriate avenues
- Collaborates with quality assurance and technical writers to complete development cycle
- Collaborates with business stakeholders and product owners to scope and de-risk development activities in advance
- Troubleshoots customer environments and assists with complex escalations as a technical resource to the team
- Identifies and supports on the remediation of security gaps to help strengthen security posture
- Identifies, analyses, and resolves infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues with minimal guidance
- Continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in cloud engineering
- Supports the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of cloud engineering responsibility through data analysis to identify issues and areas of improvements
- Identifies opportunities for cost efficiencies and supports in their implementation

Essential Skills / Experience
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
- AWS Cloud Engineering - experience designing, deploying, supporting and maintaining cloud infrastructure across AWS environments.
- Cloud Platform Operations & Support - experience operating and supporting production cloud platforms, including monitoring performance and availability, troubleshooting incidents, managing complex escalations, and maintaining platform reliability and observability.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Azure Cloud Engineering
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
- Experience working in regulated industries and secure environments
