Cloud Technical Implementation Manager:
Lead complex cloud change initiatives from planning through to implementation across NFU Mutual
Play a key role in shaping cloud strategy while influencing technical decisions and delivery outcomes
Hybrid 80% homeworking and 20% from Stratford upon Avon
About the role:
As a Cloud Technical Implementation Manager at NFU Mutual, you will provide technical leadership across complex cloud change initiatives, taking work from initiation through to implementation. You will own technical implementation plans, coordinate delivery teams and suppliers, provide assurance, manage risks and dependencies, and help maintain operational service continuity.
Combining cloud consultancy with hands-on technical support, you will work closely with project teams, application teams and suppliers to deliver improvements across our cloud environment.
This is a technical leadership role first and foremost. Whilst delivery and project management expertise are important, success in the role comes from your ability to apply deep cloud knowledge, challenge suppliers constructively, and influence technical outcomes. You'll be trusted to recognise what good cloud delivery looks like, providing assurance, governance and oversight across complex change initiatives whilst helping to drive improvements across a sizeable Azure estate. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future cloud operating model, strengthen supplier relationships and ways of working, and make visible, measurable improvements within an evolving cloud team.
This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford Upon Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.
About you:
You are a technically credible cloud professional who combines strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships across technical teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders. You bring a collaborative approach, enjoy coaching and mentoring others, and are confident challenging thinking to achieve the best outcomes. You can balance strategic decision making with practical delivery needs, using sound judgement, problem solving skills and technical credibility to guide discussions, influence technical direction and drive successful cloud outcomes. You'll also bring experience working within Financial Services, Insurance, or another highly regulated environment, with an understanding of the governance, risk and compliance considerations that underpin successful technology delivery. Most importantly, you're someone who leads through expertise, understands what good cloud delivery looks like and can confidently challenge suppliers and delivery approaches where needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
