AWS Infrastructure Consultant
Contract Length: Initial 8 weeks
Location: Liverpool Street – 5 days onsite
Day Rate: £600 Outside IR35
Start Date: ASAP
We’re looking for a highly experienced, hands-on AWS Infrastructure Consultant to deliver a number of defined infrastructure automation projects across an existing AWS and Kubernetes environment.
You’ll work alongside a Senior Infrastructure Engineer but will be expected to independently own and deliver your work with minimal management. The focus is on replacing manually managed infrastructure with automated, repeatable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.

Key Experience Needed
- Strong hands-on AWS and EKS / Kubernetes experience
- Advanced Terraform development, including reusable modules
- GitLab CI/CD for infrastructure deployment
- AWS networking, VPCs, subnets and Route53
- Kubernetes RBAC and AWS IAM
- Experience bringing manually managed infrastructure under Terraform
- NGINX Ingress experience
- Gateway API experience highly desirable
- Observability, Redis and database experience desirable

Key Responsibilities
- Build reusable Terraform modules for EKS, DNS and RBAC
- Automate existing AWS infrastructure currently managed manually
- Migrate Kubernetes routing from NGINX Ingress to Gateway API
- Integrate Terraform deployments into GitLab CI/CD
- Improve infrastructure consistency, repeatability and deployment controls
- Document the environment and hand over to the permanent infrastructure engineer
