OneAdvanced's IT Managed Services business helps customers modernise and run their datacentre and Azure environments. The Professional Services function delivers structured, outcome-driven technical engagements that help customers design, implement, and optimise their infrastructure, spanning both on-premises datacentres and Microsoft Azure.

This is a hybrid, delivery-focused, customer-facing role covering datacentre infrastructure and Microsoft Azure. You will implement and migrate infrastructure across Windows Server, virtualisation and compute platforms, storage, clustering, backup, and disaster recovery, and deliver Azure infrastructure and hybrid identity workloads alongside them. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 is desirable. You will work closely with pre-sales, Principal Consultants, Architects, and operational teams to deliver high-quality, supportable solutions aligned to agreed standards.

What You Will Do

  • Provide hands-on design and delivery expertise across datacentre, hybrid, and Azure environments, acting as the customer's main technical point of contact during engagements.
  • Support pre-sales engagements, contributing to solution definition, technical assurance, and scoping of infrastructure, migration, and business continuity opportunities.
  • Take handover of solution designs from Pre-Sales Architects, review the agreed scope, define how the solution will be delivered, and flag any gaps or out-of-scope requirements before delivery begins.
  • Implement and deploy secure, resilient, well-documented Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid identity solutions, including landing zones, virtual machines, storage, networking, hybrid connectivity, Entra ID, and Azure Monitor, aligned to the Azure Well-Architected Framework and operational support standards.
  • Design and deploy Windows Server platforms and core directory services, including Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, and hybrid identity through Entra Connect.
  • Design and deploy resilient compute and storage platforms, including failover clustering, high availability, shared and software-defined storage, and the backup and replication that underpins them.
  • Lead and support migration of customer server estates, including physical-to-virtual, virtual-to-virtual, datacentre relocation, and migration of workloads into Microsoft Azure.
  • Deliver backup and disaster recovery solutions, including OneAdvanced BaaS and DRaaS services, replication tooling, RTO/RPO design, and DR testing.
  • Implement security hardening and compliance baselines, including CIS hardening, PKI, encryption at rest and in transit, and access control.
  • Contribute to automation and standardisation using Terraform, PowerShell, agreed runbooks, and reference architectures.
  • Deliver engagements to agreed time, cost, and quality targets, communicating progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and flagging scope change early.
  • Work with operational teams to ensure environments are supportable, resilient, and well documented.
  • Produce clear, structured technical design documentation and support service handover activities.
  • Act as an escalation resource for complex infrastructure incidents and technical challenges.
  • Build trust and long-term relationships with customers as a representative of the wider business.
  • Ability to advise customers on practical AI use cases, risks, and governance considerations.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve solution design, documentation, or operational efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
