Cloud & Infrastructure Design Lead
We're looking for a highly experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Design Lead to play a key role in shaping the future of our technology estate.
This position is ideal for a senior infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, designing scalable solutions and influencing technology direction across cloud, infrastructure and security.
Working closely with technology and business stakeholders, you'll lead the design of strategic technology initiatives while providing technical leadership across the wider infrastructure landscape.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the design and evolution of cloud and infrastructure platforms.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure and resilient technical solutions.
- Drive infrastructure modernisation and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Develop high-level and detailed technical designs for new technologies and services.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers and third-party suppliers to deliver successful outcomes.
- Review existing services and identify opportunities to improve performance, security and reliability.
- Establish and promote infrastructure standards, best practices and design principles.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend new capabilities where appropriate.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with security, compliance and operational requirements.

About You
- Strong background in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering or cloud technologies.
- Experience designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-scale solutions across Azure and hybrid environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies, networking, security and identity services.
- Comfortable engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience producing technical designs, solution documentation and implementation plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and practical delivery.
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID.
- Exposure to Dynamics 365 or other enterprise business systems.
- Experience within regulated environments, like banking or financial services.
- Previous involvement in technology strategy, solution design or architecture activities.
