Salary: £80,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid, with London as the contractual location
Office attendance: Two days per week
An exciting opportunity in the Insurance sector working for a Blue Chip employer as a Cloud, Infrastructure & Digital Workplace Lead.
You will take ownership of the operational performance, security and resilience of the organisation’s cloud, infrastructure and digital workplace services. The remit includes Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoint services and supporting infrastructure.
Working with a technical specialist and external service providers, you will ensure colleagues have reliable, secure technology while managing service quality, operational risks and costs.
Key responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day operation of cloud hosting, infrastructure and digital workplace services.
- Oversee platform availability, capacity, performance and resilience.
- Monitor cloud consumption and optimise hosting and service costs.
- Manage infrastructure risks, incidents and service improvements.
- Maintain effective backup, recovery and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Own the operational management of Microsoft 365 and collaboration services.
- Manage Entra ID, authentication, conditional access and identity governance controls.
- Support secure user onboarding, changes and offboarding.
- Own end-user device standards, endpoint management and device lifecycle processes.
- Ensure endpoint protection, anti-virus and device compliance controls are maintained.
- Manage technology suppliers, including service reviews, KPIs and improvement plans.
- Ensure patching and vulnerability remediation activities are completed.
- Support security incident response, business continuity and operational resilience testing.
- Contribute to technology strategy and ensure services support business needs and customer outcomes.

About You
You will bring:
- Significant experience managing cloud and infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
- Experience managing endpoint technologies and enterprise device platforms.
- Knowledge of endpoint protection, detection and vulnerability management solutions.
- A strong understanding of ITIL service management disciplines.
- Experience managing outsourced service providers and hosting partners.
- A practical understanding of infrastructure security, resilience and recovery.
- The ability to manage costs, challenge supplier performance and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.

Financial services experience is important, with insurance or insurance broker experience particularly relevant. Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, ITIL or equivalent certifications would be desirable.
