Salary: £50,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid, with London as the contractual location
The opportunity
An opportunity in the Insurance sector working for a Blue Chip employer as a Cloud, Infrastructure & Digital Workplace Specialist.
This is a hands-on technical role supporting the day-to-day administration and improvement of cloud, identity, infrastructure and workplace services. You will work across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Intune and Microsoft Defender, helping to deliver secure and reliable technology for colleagues.
Reporting to the Cloud, Infrastructure & Digital Workplace Lead, you will resolve technical issues, maintain security controls and identify opportunities to improve services and automate routine activities.
Key responsibilities
- Administer cloud hosting environments and supporting infrastructure.
- Monitor platform health, capacity and performance.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems.
- Support cloud and infrastructure improvements.
- Administer Microsoft 365 tenant services and collaboration tools.
- Manage user accounts, groups, licences and identity lifecycle activities.
- Support conditional access, multi-factor authentication and identity security controls.
- Deploy, configure and support end-user devices.
- Administer endpoint management platforms and maintain device compliance.
- Support hardware refreshes and colleague onboarding.
- Carry out patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Administer endpoint protection and anti-virus technologies.
- Assist with security incidents, investigations, audits and compliance activities.
- Support incident, problem and change management processes.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues and identify opportunities for automation and service improvement.

About You
You will bring:
- Experience supporting Microsoft cloud and infrastructure environments.
- Strong practical Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration skills.
- Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender and endpoint security tools.
- Knowledge of Azure administration and cloud operations.
- Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem and change management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to resolving issues.
- The ability to explain technical matters clearly to colleagues and suppliers.
- A customer-focused approach and an understanding of security and compliance requirements.

Financial services experience is important, with insurance or insurance broker experience particularly relevant. Microsoft administrator, Azure Administrator or equivalent certifications would be desirable.
