The program is an experimental effort with rapidly evolving requirements, demanding adaptability and innovation from the engineering team. It provides a flexible environment for wargaming and analysis across domains, from the seafloor to space. The mission is to deliver scalable, cloud-enabled solutions that enhance decision-making, accelerate capability development, and strengthen national security. The team is building a modern platform that leverages Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and advanced automation practices to ensure security, resiliency, and mission impact.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. In this role, you will integrate with the platform engineering team to advance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, manage Kubernetes deployments, and develop Helm configurations that ensure scalability, security, and efficiency.
This position offers the opportunity to support the development and deployment of a next-generation modeling and simulation framework. While direct M&S experience is not required, we are looking for innovative, self-starting engineers who thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
