Location: Sunderland, 3 days per week onsite

Basis: Outside IR35

Rate: DOE

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a background in delivering cloud and data centre migrations, whilst securing key vulnerabilities? Are you technically strong with hands on experience of Azure, Windows Server, and IaC? If so, apply now.

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will join a dynamic team at a time of major modernisation and transformation, with responsibility for providing hands-on technical support to drive the cloud and data centre migration activities.

This Will Include

  • Supporting migration of datacentre-hosted workloads into Azure, assisting with planning, build, testing, and production cutover activities
  • Supporting landing zone, networking, and infrastructure configuration
  • Assisting with application and server migration activities
  • Supporting supplier engagement and technical validation activities
  • Reviewing and remediation of high-priority vulnerabilities identified through pen testing activity
  • Implementing remediation activities across server and infrastructure platforms
  • Validating controls through testing and evidence collection

The successful Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will have the following skills:

  • Azure Cloud (IaaS/PaaS, networking, identity, monitoring)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, ARM, PowerShell automation
  • Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy
  • Backup and restore Solutions e.g. Veeam, CommVault
  • SQL Server, Azure SQL, backups, HA/DR
  • Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, SolarWinds

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will initially join for a period of 6 months to actively participate in the cloud and data centre migration activity, and there is the possibility of extension.
