Job Summary

We are looking for a Global Cloud Infrastructure Manager to lead the strategy, governance, and delivery of our global cloud infrastructure capability. Reporting to the Data Centre Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our cloud platforms are secure, resilient, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business growth and digital transformation objectives.

This is a highly visible global leadership role, responsible for shaping cloud architecture, operations, governance, and platform modernisation across a complex international technology landscape. You will also ensure cloud services meet the requirements of regulated and sovereign environments, supporting both operational excellence and compliance obligations.

This is a remote role in which we're looking to hire individuals from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, or the United States. There will be an expectation of regular travel to our global sites as necessary. In your home country you will be expected to have more regular travel to one of our locations in the country, location for each country as follows:

  • Netherlands – Papendrecht
  • Sweden – Trollhattan
  • USA – Dallas
  • United Kingdom – Ideally Bristol however open to our UK locations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define and deliver the global cloud infrastructure strategy, ensuring cloud services support business objectives.
  • Lead the evolution of a hybrid global and sovereign cloud operating model, balancing shared services with regulatory, security, and data requirements.
  • Drive cloud modernisation, migration, optimisation, automation, and platform lifecycle initiatives.
  • Ensure cloud platforms remain secure, reliable, cost-effective, and operationally excellent.
  • Strengthen cyber resilience and recovery capabilities, working closely with cybersecurity teams.
  • Own cloud governance, risk management, supplier relationships, and financial performance.
  • Lead the successful delivery of cloud-related projects, transformations, and integration activities.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of cloud specialists while partnering with business and technology stakeholders to shape the future direction of cloud services globally.

You will establish a modern, future-ready cloud capability that balances innovation, operational excellence, cost efficiency, and cyber resilience across the global organisation.

What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Proven experience managing enterprise cloud infrastructure environments, must have experience with Azure.
  • Expertise in cloud strategy, migration, operations, and service management.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, cyber resilience, incident response, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing multi-region cloud operations.
  • Demonstrable success delivering cloud transformation and modernisation programmes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and vendor management experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving capability, and the ability to operate effectively within a complex global and regulated environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience within aerospace, manufacturing, defence, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Background in enterprise architecture or cloud security leadership.
  • Knowledge of modern cloud technologies including serverless, container orchestration, and hybrid cloud models.
  • Professional certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, ITIL, TOGAF, CISSP, or CISM.
  • Experience working within federated or multi-business-unit organisations and knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks.
