Cloud & Infrastructure Team Lead | Azure | IT Operations | Cloud Strategy | Hybrid Cardiff (2 days per week) | £60,000-£65,000 + benefits
Method Resourcing are proud to be partnered with a globally recognised education organisation as they continue their evolution towards a modern, platform-led technology function. They're looking for a Cloud & Infrastructure Team Lead to join a growing Infrastructure & Operations team, taking ownership of a critical area of the technology estate and helping drive the next phase of cloud adoption and infrastructure modernisation.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for either an existing Team Lead or a Senior Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer looking to step into leadership for the first time.
The role
The organisation has undergone significant transformation over the last few years, shifting towards a product and platform-led operating model. As a result, infrastructure teams are no longer focused purely on support and operations. They're now responsible for enabling business strategy through modern cloud platforms and scalable technology services.
You'll be responsible for leading a team focused on Cloud and Data Services, helping deliver cloud strategy, infrastructure improvements, and platform evolution across a global technology landscape. While there is some hands-on involvement, the focus is increasingly around technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, delivery, and setting direction.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
