Join our Cloud Operations Team
The Cloud Operations Team sits within Softcat's Operations function and is responsible for delivering excellence across cloud strategy and execution.
The team consists of two specialist areas:
- Cloud Procurement – Managing the end-to-end procurement of cloud solutions, including Microsoft Enterprise Licensing and Marketplace transactions, ensuring efficiency, compliance and value for our customers and business.
- Marketplace Cloud Enablement – Focused on scaling Softcat's marketplace capability, creating simple, transparent and digitally enabled customer journeys that maximise commercial growth and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing
As Cloud Operations Manager, you'll lead and develop two established teams while owning the strategic direction of Softcat's public cloud marketplace offering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching and developing managers and teams to achieve outstanding performance
- Creating an engaging, accountable and inclusive team culture
- Driving operational excellence through automation, process optimisation and continuous improvement
- Owning and evolving Softcat's cloud marketplace strategy
- Overseeing cloud procurement operations, licensing alignment and customer onboarding
- Managing operational risk, governance and compliance across cloud services
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders across Sales, Commercial, Billing, Risk, Legal and Vendor Alliances
- Building strategic relationships with key partners including Microsoft, AWS and Google
- Delivering commercial insights and performance reporting to senior leadership
- Leading cross-functional transformation initiatives that support Softcat's digital strategy

What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from experienced leaders who can balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
You'll bring:
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels
- A successful track record of leading multiple teams and delivering organisational change
- Experience driving large-scale operational improvements and transformation programmes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of cloud marketplaces and consumption-based procurement models
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance growth opportunities and risk management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional organisational skills and resilience in a fast-paced environment
