Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure) - SC Cleared
Location: Hybrid/Remote options
Contract: Inside IR35
Duration: Initial 2 months
Clearance: SC Cleared (Live and Active)
Immediate Start essential
This role supports the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-scale Azure cloud platforms within a large and complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will have strong experience delivering cloud governance, automation, and infrastructure services, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-managed cloud environments.
Active SC Clearance is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Azure cloud platform services.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Implement cloud governance, security controls, and operational best practices.
- Work closely with architecture, networking, security, and delivery teams.
- Drive platform automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
- Support cloud adoption and migration initiatives across the organisation.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and technical standards.

Essential Experience
- Active SC Clearance.
- Strong hands-on Azure experience.
- Proven experience delivering Azure Landing Zones.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
- Azure networking, identity, and security services.
- Git-based source control and DevOps practices.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments.
- Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Enterprise.
- AKS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Azure Policy, Management Groups, and RBAC.
- Hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- FinOps and cloud cost optimisation.
