About the Role
Data Sole is looking for a Cloud Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to support customers in designing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
You will:

- Assess workloads, performance requirements, availability, security, and expected growth.

- Determine appropriate CPU, RAM, storage, and network requirements.
- Design high-availability and disaster-recovery approaches.
- Prepare cloud architecture recommendations and technical proposals.
- Estimate service quantities and infrastructure costs.
- Explain complex cloud concepts clearly to technical and non-technical customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

"We need a highly available infrastructure for our growing e-commerce platform."
Your role is to assess that requirement and translate it into a practical Data Sole architecture—for example, determining the appropriate instances, networks, IP addresses, load balancers, storage, backups, and autoscaling configuration—then clearly explain the recommendation and support the customer through the commercial decision.
Ideal Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with approximately 3+ years of relevant cloud, infrastructure, systems engineering, or solutions experience, although strong candidates with less experience and demonstrable technical capability are encouraged to apply.
Cloud certifications are advantageous, but practical knowledge and the ability to communicate with customers are more important.
