About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer for a 12-month contract role that is fully remote and UK-based. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative security team supporting a large-scale enterprise cloud environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud security technologies, contribute to enhancing cyber resilience, and play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and implementation of cloud security strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security principles, threat detection, incident response, and security automation within AWS and cloud-native environments. This role is essential for strengthening the organization's security posture and ensuring robust protection of critical cloud assets.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud security engineering with specific expertise in Cortex XSIAM, Cortex Cloud, and Palo Alto security technologies. Proven experience working with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Kubernetes security, and cloud-native security controls is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of AWS security services, threat detection, threat hunting, and incident response methodologies. Familiarity with security automation, scripting, and API integrations is also highly desirable. A professional certification in cloud security or related fields, such as AWS Security Specialty or Palo Alto certifications, will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication skills to collaborate across technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and optimize Cortex Cloud and Cortex XSIAM platforms to ensure maximum security efficiency and threat detection capabilities.
  • Develop, tune, and manage threat detection rules and automated response playbooks to proactively identify and mitigate security incidents.
  • Support incident response activities, including investigation, analysis, and remediation of security threats within cloud environments.
  • Manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Kubernetes security controls to maintain a secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement and support Prisma Access solutions and secure remote access technologies to facilitate secure connectivity for remote users.
  • Drive security automation initiatives, including the integration of security tools, orchestration, and policy-as-code practices.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering and cybersecurity teams to identify vulnerabilities, recommend improvements, and implement security controls.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Zero Trust security architectures and security governance policies.

This contract offers a fully remote working arrangement within the UK, providing flexibility and work-life balance. The position is a long-term engagement of 12 months with a competitive daily rate of 450 to 550 per day, inside IR35.
