About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer for a 12-month contract role that is fully remote and based within the UK. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a leading consultancy supporting a large-scale enterprise cloud environment. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a collaborative security team focused on enhancing cloud security capabilities, strengthening cyber resilience, and driving continuous security improvements across modern cloud platforms. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining and optimizing cloud security operations, particularly within AWS and native cloud environments, ensuring the organization’s cloud infrastructure remains resilient against evolving cyber threats.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in cloud security architecture and operations, with hands-on experience in relevant security tools and platforms. A strong understanding of Cortex XSIAM and Cortex Cloud is essential, along with familiarity with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Kubernetes security. Candidates should have experience working with AWS security services and implementing security controls within cloud-native environments. Knowledge of Palo Alto security technologies, including NGFW and Panorama, is highly desirable. Additionally, proficiency in threat detection, incident response, and security automation scripting will set candidates apart. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or Palo Alto Networks certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Operate and optimize Cortex Cloud and Cortex XSIAM platforms to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
- Develop, tune, and maintain threat detection rules and automated response playbooks to ensure rapid incident management.
- Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Kubernetes security to ensure compliance and minimize vulnerabilities.
- Support Prisma Access and secure remote access technologies to facilitate secure connectivity for remote users.
- Drive security automation initiatives, including integrations and policy-as-code to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering and cybersecurity teams to implement security improvements and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Zero Trust architecture and security governance frameworks.
- Maintain and enhance security controls within the cloud environment, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and industry standards.

Benefits
This contract offers a fully remote working arrangement within the UK, providing flexibility and work-life balance. The engagement spans 12 months, offering stability and the opportunity to contribute to significant enterprise cloud security initiatives. The role provides a competitive daily rate ranging from 450 to 550 per day, inside IR35.
