Cloud Security Engineer
Contract | Remote (UK Based) | £450 - £550 per day (Inside IR35) | 12-Month Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join a leading consultancy supporting a large-scale enterprise cloud environment. You'll join a collaborative security team responsible for enhancing cloud security capabilities, strengthening cyber resilience, and driving continuous security improvement across modern cloud platforms.
Your New Role
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimising cloud security operations across AWS and cloud-native environments. Working as a subject-matter expert within a Palo Alto security ecosystem, you will help improve threat detection, reduce security risk, enhance Zero Trust controls, and support the ongoing evolution of cloud security technologies.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Operating and optimising Cortex Cloud and Cortex XSIAM platforms
- Developing and tuning threat detection rules and automated response playbooks
- Supporting incident response activities, including investigation and remediation
- Managing Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities
- Improving Kubernetes and container security posture
- Supporting Prisma Access and secure remote access technologies
- Driving security automation, integrations, and policy-as-code initiatives
- Collaborating with cloud engineering and cybersecurity teams to implement security improvements
- Contributing to Zero Trust architecture and security governance initiatives

What You'll Need to Succeed
- Strong experience with Cortex XSIAM and Cortex Cloud
- Experience with CSPM and KSPM platforms
- Prisma Access and secure access technologies
- AWS security services and cloud-native security controls
- Kubernetes and container security
- Threat detection, threat hunting, and incident response
- Security automation and orchestration
- Zero Trust security architecture
- Palo Alto security technologies, including NGFW and Panorama
- SIEM technologies and API integrations
