About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer with substantial experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our company's information assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructures. This position requires a proactive security mindset, technical expertise, and a thorough understanding of cloud security best practices. The Cloud Security Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop resilient cloud environments that are resistant to security threats and compliant with industry standards. Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty are highly desirable, reflecting the candidate's commitment to professional excellence in cloud security.
The core responsibilities include:
- Designing secure cloud architectures
- Conducting security assessments
- Monitoring for threats
- Ensuring compliance with security policies
- Creating detailed security reports
- Managing incident responses
- Supporting disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity
- Shaping and enforcing the company's security policies related to cloud environments
- Providing technical support to end-users
- Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data across all cloud platforms

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Information Security with a focus on Cloud Security
- Deep technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its security services
- Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty are preferred
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, RDS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, WAF, and others
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud is an advantage
- Understanding of current cloud security threats and advanced security measures
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is a plus
- Experience in container security is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent analytical skills and a quick learner of new technologies
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain resilient and secure cloud infrastructures to prevent security breaches
- Develop and evaluate cloud security solutions to protect systems, databases, and networks
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses to identify potential threats
- Monitor security logs and analyze incidents to gain insights into security threats and respond effectively
- Participate in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments
- Create comprehensive security reports and documentation for cloud-based applications and infrastructure
- Implement and test network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience
- Monitor access to sensitive data and enforce controls to safeguard information confidentiality and integrity
- Review security violations, discuss corrective procedures with involved personnel, and prevent recurrence
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding network security and related issues
- Stay updated with emerging security threats and implement best practices to mitigate risks
